The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) is a government owned and controlled corporation that was created by law (Republic Act 7922 or the “Cagayan Special Economic Zone Act of 1995) to manage and supervise the development of the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) into a self-sustaining industrial, commercial, financial and tourism center. As a Freeport, CSEZFP is a separate customs territory distinct from other Philippine customs ports of entry and exit.

Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Free Port

CSEZFP is located at the northeastern tip of the Philippines surrounded by the waters of Balintang Channel, China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It covers the entire Municipality of Sta. Ana and the Islands of Fuga, Barit, Mabbag in the Municipality of Aparri in the Province of Cagayan – with approximately 54,118.95 hectares of urban, suburban and agro-industrial lands for prime development.

As a Freeport, CSEZFP is a separate customs territory distinct from other Philippine customs ports of entry and exit.

The Freeport enjoys strategic proximity to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, Korea, and China compared to all other special economic zones in the Philippines. The Freeport is approximately an hour’s flight from Hong Kong and Macau.

Cagayan North International Airport (CNIA)

The Cagayan North International Airport (CNIA) is owned and managed by Cagayan Premium Ventures Development Corporation (CPVDC), a joint venture undertaking between the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) and Cagayan Land Property Development Corp. It services the CSEZFP and other areas of Northern Cagayan.
